From an tech guy to an English tutor.
2012
To avoid any confusion, I have two professional and educational backgrounds, IT and English literature. In 2012, I worked as an IT guy for a local shipping company in Batam, Indonesia. I was introduced to English teaching in the same year, I began by helping my friends from school to understand English grammar.
2016 to 2020
Nearly ten years ago (by the time I’m writing this) one of my teachers gave me an opportunity of a lifetime to be @radenfajjar’s apprentice at a local English course to specifically teach students English for IELTS, not knowing at first it was a big responsibility.
2016 to 2020 part 2.
New students and classes, new people basically. I learned more and more about IELTS and more importantly how to teach it to people. Now with countless of students from that single course place I have become way too deep into English teaching.
2019 to 2022
Another opportunity from a friend, this is where I mention @learnwithandi, he is the person who introduced me to the vast world of professional career development are through startup companies, mainly the ones in Singapore, and Indonesia.
2019 to 2022 part 2.
Some are friends, some others are people I newly met and became friends. I’m just that guy people recommend to others, that’s why in both areas I rarely promote myself and my services, and yet I’m thankful that things still go.
2022 - present time.
I now manage my own classes, work as a news reader, and still, I’m an IT guy in a beauty care company from Singapore. Seems like being an IT guys something that sticks with me.
